Chelsea Vowell, author of the book Indigenous Writes, activist, and language teacher joins us for a conversation about learning and teaching Cree. From the mechanics of teaching language, through what language itself means for culture and community we talk about the process of learning and teaching. The ways in which we teach, whether it is language or ceremony, must be ways that draw people in, that are safe spaces. Because if these spaces are violent and people don't feel welcome, then what are we doing?
